Pedro Rojas

Pedro is a visionary thinker, captivated by the vast potential of the built environment in today’s interconnected world. Hailing from Colombia and raised in Florida, Pedro has always been fascinated by how concepts of thought, design, and creation vary across different cultures. This curiosity has driven his exploration of diverse perspectives in construction, forming the foundation of his design philosophy, which emphasizes creating spaces with heart and purpose.

Before founding Kakun Design, Pedro earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Florida Atlantic University. He then honed his skills as a designer, project manager, and construction administrator at Strang Design, later becoming an equity partner at Fieldagency Architecture. His work and interviews have been featured in local South Florida publications such as Tropic Magazine and Island Magazine. Pedro is currently a registered architect in Florida and is pursuing general contractor licensure.

Carolina Mounzinho

Carolina Mouzinho, holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from Florida International University (FIU), has been shaping innovative architectural solutions since 2020.

Certified as a Residential Contractor, Carolina specializes in condo renovations, providing a full spectrum of services from initial design and permitting to meticulous construction management.

Carolina’s design philosophy is rooted in essentialism—stripping away the unnecessary to reveal the core beauty and functionality of a space. She excels in creating unique, tailored designs that transform small units and ADUs into highly efficient and aesthetically pleasing living spaces. With hands-on experience in both architecture and construction, Carolina bridges the gap between design and build processes. Her artistic talents further enhance her attention to detail, ensuring that every project is a true reflection of her client’s vision and lifestyle. Working alongside Pedro, Carolina brings a personal and dedicated approach to every project. Her comprehensive expertise and passion for innovative design make her a standout professional in the architectural field. She is currently pursuing licensure in architecture in the state of Florida
